Cloud Ready
Moving to Epicor Cloud? We’re already there.
Augur supports both on-premise and Epicor Cloud hosted P21. Migrate your ERP without losing your web presence — or scrambling to rebuild integrations.
On-prem P21 end of life: May 2028
Epicor's final on-premise P21 release arrives May 2028. Active support ends June 2029. After that — no security patches, no compliance updates. If you’re staying on P21, you’ll need to migrate to the cloud.
Cloud P21 changes how integrations work
In cloud P21, direct SQL database writes become read-only. All write operations must go through REST APIs. Every legacy integration that wrote directly to the P21 database — a common pattern built over 15+ years — must be refactored.
Augur is already API-based
Augur has always connected to P21 through APIs, not direct database writes. When you migrate to Epicor Cloud, your Augur-powered e-commerce, mobile apps, and integrations keep working without changes. Your Augur integrations carry over without code changes.
Common cloud migration questions
Will my e-commerce site break during migration?
No. Augur connects through P21 APIs, not direct database access. Your site continues operating during and after your cloud migration.
Do I need to rebuild my integrations?
Not the Augur ones. Any legacy integrations that write directly to the P21 database will need refactoring — but Augur's microservices already use the API-based approach that cloud P21 requires.
Does Augur work with on-premise P21 too?
Yes. Augur works with both on-premise and Epicor Cloud P21. You can start today on your current setup and migrate to cloud on your timeline.
What about the 3-5% annual subscription cost increases?
That's an Epicor licensing question, not an Augur one. What we can tell you: investing in API-based integrations now means you won't pay twice — once for the integration and again to refactor it for cloud.
Don’t wait for the deadline
The best time to move to API-based integrations is before you’re forced to. Start with Augur now on your current P21 setup, and your cloud migration becomes one less thing to worry about.
